Before you ship

• Submit a repair request first — you'll receive a Repair Authorization (RMA) and shipping instructions. Shipping without an RMA causes service delays.
• Have your serial number, installed software version, and any error messages ready. (Machines with altered, defaced, or removed serial numbers can't be covered.)
• List the accessories you're sending in with the machine.
• Ship in the original packaging where possible — shipping damage from improper packaging is the customer's responsibility.
• Back up any important data first — some repairs (such as board replacements) remove stored data.

Care & preventative tips

• Before shipping anything, call tech support for a free phone diagnostic — many issues can be resolved without sending the machine in.
• Have your machine's serial number and a description of the problem ready.
• Keep your original packaging — damage caused by improper packaging during shipping is the customer's responsibility.
